Spurt in vehicle, two-wheeler theft cases in city

SHILLONG: There is a sudden spurt in the theft of cars and motorcycles in the city with as many as five cases being reported in the last three days.
Minora Marbaniang lodged a complaint that on May 29, at around 5 am, her Maruti -800 car (ML05D-4239) went missing from the parking place at Jackson Trace Road, Lumparing, Laban.
There was also a report that unknown miscreants stole one scooty (ML-05N-6373) belonging to Prashant Biswa from Lachumiere.
Earlier, another complaint was filed on May 28 about unknown miscreants stealing a motorcycle (ML-05N-3179) belonging to one Basu Thapa from Riat Sohkhlur, 3rd Mile, Upper Shillong.
One Anthony Bagra also lodged a complaint that on May 27 afternoon, unknown miscreants stole his motorcycle (AR-01E-4763) parked at Osisa School, Fire Brigade. According to police, again on May 27 at around 7.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-05M-3774) belonging to one Ravindra Prasad Shah from Goenka Compound, 29-Cantonment, Shillong.
