Doctors’ visit
Kolkata-based Medica Superspecialty Hospital, a 500-bed hospital housing eight super specialties, and other support services, will organise a speciality OPD (outpatient department) clinic at Bethany Hospital on June 10. Doctors attending the clinic include Dr Debottam Bandyopadhyay, Sr Consultant Gastroenterologist, and Dr PK Mishra, Director &, Sr Consultant Urologist.
Gratuitous relief
The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills has sanctioned an amount of Rs.1,12,000 for payment of gratuitous relief to affected beneficiaries under Amlarem C&RD Block.
Strike
In response to the call of National Joint Council of Action, New Delhi comprising of employees of Railway, Defence, Postal and Confederation of Central Government Employees & Workers, New Delhi, the Central Government employees of Meghalaya will observe a demonstration on June 9 at the respective offices and submit strike notice to the respective department heads separately for the indefinite strike to be commenced from July 11 on 11-point charter of demands including pay commission related issues.
