SHILLONG: Ambrose Pala, Inspector, Mines Royalty, Umkiang Check Post in East Jaintia Hills has filed an FIR against three persons Marshall Biam, Ency Shadap and Julius Nongtdu for demanding money from him.
The inspector lodged a complaint that in the month of March, the trio went to the check post, and demanded Rs. 30,000 from him and threatened to lodge an FIR against him, if he fails to comply with their demand. Out of fear, the inspector paid them Rs 30,000.
