SHILLONG: HSPDP legislator Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit has stressed the need of making global warming issue a household topic of discussion like that of corruption.
Addressing the valedictory session of the International Seminar on Climate Change organised by Synod College, Shillong, recently, the legislator said though the issue of global warming has become increasingly frightening, people are yet to realize its impact on humanity.
“Therefore, I feel that this issue has to be made a household topic of discussion like that of corruption,” he said.
He also said educational institutions in the State should ask themselves what more they can do to confront one of the most urgent and consequential challenges humanity is being faced with.
