Blood donation
The NSS unit of St. Edmund’s College in collaboration with Regional Blood Bank, Pasteur Institute, Lawmali and State Blood Transfusion Council organised an awareness programme on voluntary blood donation at the RBB campus. A voluntary blood donation camp was also organised which was attended by 25 NSS volunteers.
Felicitation
St. Mary’s College will hold a felicitation programme for the successful 3rd year degree students on July 16 at 11 AM in the college auditorium. All concerned students have to register for the same latest by July 9 at the students’ service centre of the college.
Sec 144 CrPC
The Deputy Commissioner East Khasi Hills has imposed Section 144 CrPC prohibiting heavy loaded vehicles carrying weight of more than 9 tonnes from plying along the Nongspung-Laitmawsing, Mawkneng-Nongspung and Sohiong-Pariong road.
Health camp
A free health camp was conducted by Punjabi Sabha Shillong on June 26 at Mawaan village in Upper Shillong. Over 250 patients were examined by Dr. Anil Agrawal, Dr. R. Lyngdoh and Dr. D.P. Syiem and were provided with free medicines.
Mock drill
A mock drill will be conducted at Bethany Hospital, in collaboration with the District Disaster Management Authority DDMA East Khasi Hills from 11 am to 12:30 pm.
Condolence
The president and members of Sree Narayana Guru Cultural Centre, Shillong has condoled the demise of Kong Sitimon Sawian. The members recalled the illustrious contribution of Sawian in the field of education and social service, besides her efforts for women and child welfare.
