Boy sexually assaulted
In one incident, a woman lodged a complaint that one juvenile sexually assaulted her son and also threatened him at Byndihati village in East Jaintia Hills on June 22.
Molested
In another case of molestation, a 17-year-old girl was molested by one Sanjay Sonowal (36), inside his vehicle in Lapalang, Rynjah on June 29.
Girl raped
Again, a complaint was lodged that on June 28, a juvenile raped a girl at Lawse Dewsaw village. Meanwhile, police has arrested the juvenile delinquent.
Fake birth certificate
Additional Deputy Commisisoner, East Khasi Hills, MCS, I. Majaw lodged a complaint that one Sneha Debnath of Upland Road, Laitumkhrah submitted a fake birth certificate at the DC Office Shillong.
Duped
Darisha Kharkongor, lodged a complaint that in the month of March 2014, one Larisa Pale cheated her of Rs. 1,35,000 with a promise to provide her with a job at NEHU, Shillong.
Looted
Six unidentified occupants of one vehicle (HR-07-8196), assaulted Md. Abbas Ahmed and Md. Akter Hussain and looted Rs 25,000 and a cell phone from them, on Wednesday night at Shangbangla near Nongpoh. In the incident the duo sustained injuries and were shifted to hospital for medical treatment. The police later intercepted the vehicle at Sonapur Road, Assam, however the miscreants managed to escape. The matter is under investigation.
