World Jokes Day celebrated

SHILLONG: A team of local talents under the banner of MRs Productions presented a comedy show titled MRs Wat Rkhie to celebrate the World Jokes Day on July 1.
The humour show comprised of seven plays and few comical songs with each performance infused with social messages. The show was  performed at Don Bosco Youth Centre.
With the motive to involve the audience, there was an open invitation to those present to crack jokes and some enthusiastic participant did make the session lively.
Meanwhile, folk artistes from Wahkaji village also performed on the occasion displaying indigenous musical instruments never been showcased in cultural programmes before.
