SHILLONG: The entire ranks of the Bharat Scouts and Guides of the State and India as a whole expressed deep condolences and shock to the sudden demise of Ralsailova Sailo Hynniewta, a prominent and former organiser and trainer of the Scouts in Meghalaya for 40 long years.
He joined the movement during Assam period as a Scout and with Meghalaya in 1972. He completed his career as a Scoutmaster and became a leader trainer. He is well known for his humorous entertainment.
(L) Hynniewta contributed immensely towards the Movement. He is the recipient of the National Silver Star Award.
“The Bharat Scouts and Guides recalled with fond memories our association with him. It is therefore difficult for us to believe that Ral Sailo has gone forever at the very middle age of his joining of life. We miss him a lot,” read a statement from the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts & Guides.
