SHILLONG: Two motorcycles were stolen from the city on Thursday. Police said that on Thursday, at around 4 am, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (AS-22B-6425) from Bishnupur, while on the same day another motorcycle (A/F) was stolen from Howell Road, Laban.
Youth’s body recovered from B’desh
SHILLONG: The body of a person who drowned in a river in Shella, East Khasi Hills was recovered from Bangladesh. Police said that the incident happened on July 7 when one Deoleth S Sangma drowned while crossing a river at Shella. The body was retrieved from Bangladesh and handed over to the BSF.
Liquor seized
SHILLONG: In a major anti-liquor raid, police personnel from Madanrting Police Station on Thursday, seized a huge quantity of illicit liquor from two locations at Mawblei and Smit. Police informed that 75 bottles of IMFL, 37 bottles of beer and 450 litres of local liquor were seized.
