A Mahindra Bolero (ML04 B 9634) proceeding towards Guwahati from Jowai overturned after it was involved in a collision with a Maruti car at Umbang under Umsning Block in Ri-Bhoi district on Monday around 12:45 PM. Three occupants of the Mahindra Bolero sustained injuries. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Umsning helped in shifting Phira Diang Manar (44, F), Dathrang Manar (17, M) and Daphikary Manar (10, F) to Umsning CHC.
Four occupants of a Maruti car sustained injuries when the vehicle was hit from behind by a truck and due to the impact, the Maruti car collided head on with a Mahindra Max coming from the opposite direction. The incident happened on the Shillong bypass at Umkrukru under Umsning Block in Ri-Bhoi district on Sunday at around 8 PM. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Bhoirymbong and Umsning helped in shifting Enrichmond Nongbet (19, M), Ferlinda War Dkhar (28, F), Aphisha War Dkhar (5, F) and Pynshemphang Nongrum (32, M) to Shillong civil hospital.
