SHILLONG: Police arrested one person for stealing a costly mobile set in the city.
SP M Kharkrang informed that Albert Mawthoh (36) of Madanriting Lumkharkongor Block-B was arrested from Nongmynsong Umkadait for stealing a Samsung Note 3 mobile from a house at Nongrimmaw, Laitumkhrah.
Later, the stolen mobile was recovered from one Richard Nongsiej of Mawlai Nongpdeng Block-C who purchased the item at a throw away price of Rs 2,000. He will also be booked under Section 411 of IPC for receiving stolen property.
