One held with 1kg Brown Sugar worth Rs 1 crore

Kohima: The Narcotics Cell of Nagaland Police arrested one person along with one kg of brown sugar worth Rs one crore, the police said on Friday.
SP (Crime) and PRO of Nagaland Police, M Tungoe said personnel of Narcotic Cell manning Khuzama Interstate Check Gate detected the contraband concealed in a Bihar bound bus and arrested one person in this connection on July 12 last.
The accused has been identified as Raman Kumar, who hails from Motihari district of Bihar. On being interrogated the accused revealed the consignment was to be collected by an unknown person once the bus reached its destination.
A case has been registered and thorough investigation was being conducted, the police added. (PTI)
