SHILLONG: The Meghalaya State Government Employees Federation (MSGEF), has reiterated it’s demand for revision of pay at par with the Central Government employees.
The Federation few months back had sent a petition to the Chief Secretary on the matter and now the federation has decided to send another reminder to the State Government on the matter.
The MSGEF in it’s first petition had urged the Government to make the revision of pay effective from January 1, 2016.
In the executive meeting, the federation also decided to approach the Government to consider merger of 50 percent dearness allowance with the basic pay as it was done in the year 2005 before the previous pay revision since the dearness allowance at present is 113 percent.
