 12-day training programme held at EFL University

SHILLONG: The English and Foreign Languages University, Shillong Campus, in collaboration with the Meghalaya Institute of Entrepreneurship and Basin Development Unit, West Jaintia Hills conducted a 12-day programme on capacity building for the people of Shnongpdeng and Darrang villages in West Jaintia Hills from July 18-30.
The objective of the programme was to equip the young participants on communication skills, both in English and Hindi, to promote tourism in their respective villages.
The participants were also given training on the basics of photography, ICT and first aid.
The programme was well received by the participants. Certificates for successful completion of the training were distributed in the valedictory programme held on Saturday at the EFL University, Shillong Campus.
