Notification on marriage registration act

SHILLONG: MM Danggo, Minister incharge Stamps and Registration, on the first day of the autumn session laid the notification of the Meghalaya Compulsory Registration of Marriage Acts, 2012, 2015 and 2016.
The Act that was amended on previous occasions is to mandate registration of marriage in the State and for matter connected     therewith. There was no discussion over the notifications.
Later, Chief Minister Mukul Sangma, in charge of Finance, also introduced the Meghalaya State Language (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
The Bill has been introduced to amend Section 4 of the Meghalaya State Language Act, 2005, to include four new districts in the provision. Sangma also laid the Contingency Fund of Meghalaya (Amendment) ordinance.
