Senior citizen knocked down

SHILLONG: A 70-year-old man was fatally knocked down by a vehicle  in  West Jaintia Hills. Police said that the incident happened on September 8 evening,  when one Tata Sumo knocked down one Mir Sari (70 yrs) at Muthlong village.  Necessary formalities were observed and investigation is on. In a separate incident,  one Maruti Alto (ML-05F-0296) knocked down two minor pedestrians at Jaiaw on September 9 at around 5 PM. As a result, the victims sustained injuries and were shifted to Dr. H. Gordon Robert Hospital, Jaiaw. The driver fled the scene after the incident.
