SHILLONG: As a commemoration of Swami Vivekananda’s historic Chicago speech on September 11, 1893, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Sohra held a two tier – intra school and inter school competitions of all the feeder schools of Rama Krishna Mission Ashrama at Sohra. 235 students from all the feeder schools participated in the competition at LP, UP and Secondary Level.
Sanjay Goyal,(IAS) Secretary, Finance Department, Govt. of Meghalaya was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony held at Vivekananda Centenary Hall of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Sohra.
Betshisha Khongjoh of RKM LP School, Sohbar and Phibahun Kharkongor bagged the first prizes in Lower Primary English and Khasi category of competitions.
Shidahun Kharkongor, RKM UP School, Mylliem and Konga Dkhar, RKM UP School, Sohbar bagged first prizes in Upper Primary English and Khasi categories of competition.
Baiasuklang Majaw, RKM H/S School, Sohra and Bankyrshanlang Sohkhlet, RKM Secondary school, bagged the first prizes in secondary English and Khasi category of the competition.
