SHILLONG: The FKJGP’s Langpih area unit has urged the PWD to repair the 5 km stretch from Umwahlang to Kyrdum in West Khasi Hills in order to provide better road connectivity to transport local produce to the markets and to boost tourism prospects in Langpih.
An FKJGP delegation called on the Engineer PWD (Roads) Nongstoin Division and SDO, PWD (Roads) recently in this regard.
The FKJGP urged the officials to repair the road that connects Mawsikar and other villages adjacent to Kamrup district, Assam. The road links Langpih market with other villages and its dilapidated condition makes it troublesome for the farmers to transport their produce.
