Body found hanging
A body of a person identified as Gopal Thapa (35) of Laban Namghar, Shillong was found hanging at 3rd Mile forest in Upper Shillong on Monday. The deceased was reportedly missing from his residence since September 10.
Arrests
On September 10 at around 12.30 pm, Police arrested one Dombelkot Nongrang along with four females aged between 20-21 years in a local taxi (ML-05G-8048) at Mawiong View Point. Police suspect them to be involved in immoral trafficking.
Minor knocked down
A minor boy died after he was fatally knocked down by a truck at Kambakpara village in South West Garo Hills.The incident happened on Saturday morning about 10.30 am, when the truck (AS-18-0877) driven by Nicholas Hajong fatally knocked down Sehat A Sangma (3 yrs) at. Police arrested the driver.
Impersonation
One Celicia K Budwar lodged a complaint that on September 9 at about 2.30 pm, three persons impersonated as delivery boys, assaulted her employee Tanring Roy Khongsiang at 3½ Mile, Upper Shillong, causing injuries to him.
Theft
On September 10 morning, unknown miscreants stole a cell-phone belonging to T Roengnawii from Green Pine Hostel, Laitumkhrah.
