SHILLONG: Representatives of 4000 trainees from Khasi and Jaintia Hills who had appeared for the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) exams are perturbed by the anomalies in the results declared by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, they said, “The teachers are facing hardships due to the anomalies in the declaration of results. We met the assistant director of regional centre of NIOS at Guwahati, Piyush Prasad who told us that some of the study centres delayed in submitting the internal marks of the candidates while some submitted the marks directly to the NIOS head office at Noida instead of submitting it to the regional centre.”
“Some of the internal assessment marks of the trainees did not reflect in the mark sheets available at the website of the NIOS,” he added.
The assistant director informed that wrong choice in choosing optional subjects had led to many trainees being marked absent for the exams.
