House prorogued

SHILLONG: The Assembly was prorogued sine die on Friday after the culmination of the autumn session that began on September 9.
During the short session of five days, the House discussed the no-confidence motion against the Chief Minister, which was later withdrawn by the Opposition. The Opposition also withdrew the resolution seeking removal of the Speaker on Friday.
The Meghalaya Residents Safety and Security Bill, 2016, was among other bills which were passed during the session.
