SHILLONG: The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Umkon-Sohtad-Catholic Church, Ri-Bhoi called on PWD (Roads) Minister Martin M. Danggo to seek his intervention for improvement of the road condition at Umkon and Sohtad villages.
In a memorandum submitted to the minister, the JAC sought metalling and black topping of the internal road of Umkon and Sohtad villages in view of the upcoming Platinum Jubilee celebration of the Catholic Church, Umkon. Members of the JAC were accompanied by Congress leader from Ri-Bhoi, C.B. Syiem.
