Ardhendu Chaudhuri remembered

SHILLONG:  Glowing tributes were paid to Late Ardhendu Chaudhuri, former legislator, on the occasion of his 12th death anniversary at the Rilbong Sports and Cultural Club here on Thursday evening.
Chaudhuri was killed in a chopper crash on September 22, 2004.
Speaking on the occasion, Manas Chaudhuri, his brother and former legislator said that even after 12 years of his death people remembered him (Ardhendu Chaudhuri) with utmost love and respect. “This shows the connection, love and affection he had with the people,” Manas Chaudhuri said.
“It also shows that he was a great social and political leader,” he added. Chaudhuri also expressed gratitude to the people for coming out in large numbers to attend the programme despite the rain.
