Man duped
Anil Chakravorty of Rilbong, Shillong lodged a complaint on September 24 that one Nikhil Biswas of Phoolbazar, Kagurgachi, West Bengal has cheated the complainant of Rs. 90,000/- with a promise to provide a job in a hotel at Dubai.
Theft
Mosin Raja Qureshi of Lumdiengjri, Shillong lodged a complaint on September 24 that unknown miscreants stole his mobile phone from his bag at St. Mary’s College, Shillong that on August 29 around 11 AM.
Partha Pratim Dey lodged a complaint that on the night of September 23, unknown miscreants stole one laptop computer and cash Rs. 1,300 from his residence at Bijni Complex, Laitumkhrah.
Sher Bahadur Pradhan lodged a complaint that on September 22 around 6.50 PM, unknown miscreants stole the radiator from an excavator machine which was parked at 9th Mile, Baridua under Khanapara Police Station (Ri Bhoi). In this connection, police arrested two persons namely, Paluk Sonowal (24 years) and Raju Baruah (27 years).
Accident
On September 23 around 7.15 PM, one Maruti car (ML-05G-4938) knocked down Scecyland P Shangdiar at Pohktieh, Nongthymmai. Victim sustained injuries and was taken to Civil Hospital, Shillong.
Assault
Watborlang Shangdiar lodged a complaint that on September 23 around 4.30 pm, three boys namely, Rishanlang Lyngdoh (18 years), Anthony Khardewsaw (18 years) and one juvenile, assaulted the complainant at Nongthymmai Rngijynriew, Shillong, snatched one mobile phone and cash worth Rs. 100 from him. Police arrested all the accused persons.
Threat
A woman from Dalu (WGH) lodged a complaint that on September 14, she received an SMS from one Jimson M Marak (27 years) demanding Rs. 12 lakhs from her and also threatened her with dire consequences.
