SHILLONG: The body of a missing girl was found in a stream in Mawlai area on Monday night.
Since the body was found floating at Umshing Umsohlang stream at night, police will recover it on Tuesday early morning, sources said.
This is the third case in three months that a girl’s body was found under mysterious circumstances.
In July, the body of the missing Umlyngka girl was found at Damsite, Ri Bhoi, a few days after she went missing. The body of another girl from Lumparing was recovered from Umiam in August.
