Woman accuses dorbar of ostracising her family

SHILLONG: A woman from Jatah village in Ri Bhoi has filed an FIR accusing the local Dorbar Shnong of ostracising her family from the village.  Police said that on receipt of information the in charge of Umsning OP went to the village to enquire into the complaint but the residents obstructed it from performing its duty.  When contacted, Ri Bhoi SP GD Kharwanlang said that the matter pertained to a land dispute. The SP said there is a counter allegation that the woman encroached on the land of people and claimed that the water sources in the river belonged to her.
