Drum beat competitions

SHILLONG: CPC’s SK Das Memorial (individual and group) and Prasad Gupta Memorial drum-beat competitions (indigenous) will be held at BSNL Employees Puja Pandal, Rynjah from 10 am onwards on Monday.
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders will be awarded cash prizes along with medals.
The CPC said that like previous years, this year too, it will organize competitions  among different Durga Puja Pandals of Greater Shillong on the categories of best  illumination, best decoration,  best idol,  most disciplined  puja pandal, most sporting puja pandal, cleanest puja pandal and  best puja souvenir. Prizes of the competitions will be awarded in CPC’s next valedictory function to be held in the first week of November.
