BSF apprehends cattle smuggler

SHILLONG: BSF troops deployed at Tungichar, South East Garo Hills apprehended an Indian cattle smuggler identified as Abdul Siddik (25) of Kukurmua village in Mahenderganj, South West Garo Hills while he was trying to cross over to Bangladesh.
During interrogation he confessed to have brought the cattle from the cattle haat at Ampati to hand them over to an unknown Bangladesh national. Meanwhile, the BSF also seized 58 cattle from Nayabazar, Lyngkhat, East Khasi Hills and Balughat, West Garo Hills while they were being smuggled to Bangladesh.
