Scouts explores Siju Cave in GH

TURA: A team of 38 Scouts and Guides comprising of Rovers from the Saljong Rovers’ crew and 6 Rangers belonging to the Dura Rangers’ team of the Bharat Scouts and Guides from West Garo Hills undertook an adventure-cum-expedition along the mighty Simsang River from Baghmara to Siju Cave in South Garo Hills District.
The three day expedition began on October 7 where the group travelled by boat for 5 hours to reach their destination and upon arrival explored around 2.70 kilometres of the cave before setting up camp for the night.
The next morning, a cleaning drive was conducted around the vicinity of the cave before proceeding to Dikka A’kol.
During the course of the three-day outing, a rock-climbing exercise was also carried out by the team members.
