Two students critically injured in road mishap

JOWAI: Two students of Thomas Jones Synod College suffered critically injuries after they were hit by an unidentified vehicle on Thursday morning at around 6:20 am at Ladthadlaboh, Jowai.
The students – Syndong Phawa (20) and Damonbha Dhar (22) – were on their way to college when they were hit by an over speeding car. The girls    were rushed to KJPA Hospital in critical condition.
Eyewitnesses who rushed the students to the hospital said the vehicle involved in the accident was likely a Mahindra Quanto with Tripura registration.
Former JHADC MDC Helping Phawa, a relative of one of the injured girls, lodged a complaint with Jowai police and requested them to trace the vehicle and punish the negligent driver.
