SHILLONG: Hadrian Lyngdoh, Executive Member (EM) in charge Market at the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), blamed the Hima Mylliem for not informing the Council of Chief Minister Mukul Sangma’s visit to Iewduh. Lyngdoh was replying to a query by UDP’s Roma Khymdeit during the autumn session of the KHADC here on Tuesday.
Lyngdoh said the Hima Mylliem did not intimate the KHADC of Sangma’s visit though it was its responsibility to do so.
Meanwhile, N Antonio War, EM in charge Finance in reply to a query by HSPDP’s Teilinia Thangkhiew said pending bills of contractors and suppliers are still under process.
Thangkhiew also raised the issue of the outdated Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council Employees Service Rules, 1961. In this regard, CEM P.N Syiem said, “It was last amended in 2005 and the proposal to amend the service rules is under process. The matter will be expedited soon.”
