SHILLONG: Health and Family Welfare Minister Roshan Warjri, who visited Ganesh Das Hospital on Tuesday, directed the hospital authorities to repair its ultrasound machine that is not functioning for the last three months.
The Minister, who was accompanied by a few officials of the Department, was also informed about the fully-automated clinical chemistry analyser (EM 360) that needs urgent repair. The team was at the hospital to take stock of the basic amenities there.
Warjri visited the wards,the ICU and the labour room, the maternity counselling unit and the OPD block and interacted with patients. The Minister appreciated the hospital staff’s work and efforts to maintain cleanliness even under several constraints.
