SHILLONG: MPCC president DD Lapang has slammed Shillong MP Vincent Pala for his adverse comments against party for taking action against KHADC CEM P N Syiem. The Mawsynram Block Congress Committee under the new leadership of Khelor Kharnaior met Lapang, after the suspension of former Mawsynram Block Congress Committee president Syiem.
Lapang, while speaking at the gathering said that decision to suspend Syiem was not taken in haste but it was taken due to his anti-party activities. Taking note of the views of Pala who reportedly said that the MPCC should have given a chance to Syiem before suspension, Lapang said that the party had waited long enough for him to change his anti-party behaviour.
“Pala should not have voiced his opinion in the newspapers or approach Rahul Gandhi, instead he should have approached the MPCC,” he said.
