Digital India Outreach campaign in WJH

JOWAI: The Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills, Arun Kumar Kembhavi inaugurated the Digital India Outreach campaign in West Jaintia Hills on Monday at DC Office Jowai.
The campaign is scheduled from Monday till November 12 where 20 villages in the district will be covered under an awareness programme on the Digital India and the services provided to citizens.
The Government has equipped vans with audio visual facilities to inform and educate the citizens in rural areas on Digital India.
The mobile van under Digital India Outreach Campaign will be travelling to 18 villagesto spread awareness about Digital India and providing information about services by Government, Digital Locker, AADHA cards and other Digital Services including MyGov registration.
“Through MyGov the Citizens of India can share their ideas, thoughts, suggestion with the Government relating to various policies, programs, scheme etc. Thus, through this campaign, the Government targets to reach more than 1 lakh citizens and more than 1.5 lakhs rural citizens to be registered for MyGov”, Kembhavi said.
On Monday, E-District Manger, Information, Technology Department, P Mawlong and the District Informatics Officer NIC, I.Rymbai along with the staffs from various departments were also presenct during the inaugural function.
