SHILLONG: One Santosh Kumar Singh lodged a complaint stating that on October 24, at about 11.50am, he made a business deal with one Rakesh Sharma at Hotel Micasa, Keating Road, Shillong, wherein Rakesh Sharma promised to supply cigarettes and asked for an advance payment of Rs. 5 lakhs.
On having made the deal, Kumar Singh paid Rs. 4,70,000 to Sharma.
However, when he left the hotel and checked the bag, he discovered that it only contained paper and that Sharma had already checked out of the hotel.
