Guwahati, July 24: The Assam Royal Global University (RGU) will inaugurate Deeksharambh 2026 – the Undergraduate Student Induction Programme on July 29, marking the beginning of an enriching academic journey for the University’s newest batch of students. The induction programme, which will continue till August 16, 2026, has been designed to ensure a smooth transition into university life by introducing students to RGU’s academic culture, values, and the wide range of opportunities.
The inaugural ceremony will be attended by senior officials from the Department of Higher Education, Government of India, eminent academicians from across the nation, and Education Ministers from different Northeastern states, who will address the newly admitted students.
While the Undergraduate Student Induction Programme will commence on July 29, the Postgraduate Student Induction Programme will be inaugurated on August 5.
Over the course of the programme, students will participate in a series of academic orientation sessions, motivational talks, interactive engagements, and introductions to the University’s academic regulations, student support services, research ecosystem, innovation initiatives, extracurricular activities, and campus life. They will also have opportunities to interact with the University’s leadership, faculty members, senior students, and distinguished guests.
