SHILLONG: A meeting of retired college teachers of the city was held in Shillong College recently. The meeting discussed the plight of retired college teachers of Meghalaya and the need for concerted effort to address their needs. The meeting also resolved to consider the formation of an Association of Retired College Teachers of Meghalaya in line with All India Federation of Retired University and College Teachers’ Organisation to mobilise united struggle for addressing the related issues.
