SHILLONG: The commencement of Vigilance Awareness Week was also observed across the city. Powergrid employees took pledges to mark the beginning of the awareness week. A Patir, General Manager, Shillong administered the pledge at RHQ, Shillong. A week long programme will be organized at various institution including inter college debate competition and essay competition. A road show will also be held on November 3 to create awareness for the masses.Meanwhile, the North Eastern Council, Shillong on Monday observed the inaugural day of the Vigilance Awareness Week where Ram Muivah, Secretary, NEC and all the NEC officers and staff took the pledge both in Hindi and English. Several events like essay writing competitions and talks on vigilance awareness have been scheduled for the week.
To mark the commencement of the Vigilance Awareness Week, a pledge was also undertaken by NEEPCO employees on Monday.
