Crime update

On October 30 around 4 pm, unknown miscreants shot Plestarwell Lawrynniang (34) at Wahumsohpieng in West Khasi Hills. As a result, the victim sustained bullet injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital, Shillong. Investigation is on. Md. Azarul Islam of Telipara Mankachar, Assam lodged a complaint that on October 18 around 8.30 pm, he sent one Md. Matleb Hoque to receive a payment amounting to Rs. 1 lakh on his behalf from one Sanjib Kumar Paul at Anandamath, Tura. However, after receiving the amount, Md. Matleb Hoque did not hand over the money to the complainant and remains untraced.
