SHILLONG:  In yet another concerted move to create legal awareness among the masses, the Legal Services Authority through the Legal Care and Support Centre of Shillong Law College and Lady Keane College staged street plays at Rynjah and Motphran on Thursday on the theme “Access to Justice”.
A sizeable number of people who gathered at the two venues were enthralled by the brilliant performance of the college students who very convincingly portrayed the message of legal aid to those who are in real need of such help.
The effect of the colorful presentation was evident when a number of people immediately expressed their desire to get legal aid and made inquiries about the activities and functions of the Legal Services Authority. The members of the Member Secretary of the Meghalaya State Legal Services and other Officers were also present at the venues.
