Rice released
The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), West Garo Hills, Tura has informed that AAY, PHH Rice for the month of November  has been released. Therefore, all Fair Price Shop dealers are directed to issue rice as per government prescribed scale of 5 kg/head/month for PHH beneficiaries and 35 kg/Card/month for AAY beneficiaries.
Members elected
BJP Shillong members have elected new office bearers on Friday. The new office bearers are George Clarence Nongbet as president, Edward L Kharwanlang and Ashok Singhania as vice-presidents, Glanding lyngdoh as general secretary, Alok malakar and Gilbert Pyngrope as secretaries, JP Singh as treasurer and other executive members.
Restricted enrty
Entry along the Police Training School in between the 2nd and the 17th Fairways and road leading to Shyiap and Mawpat will be close from 6 AM to 5 PM from November 9-13 for the Chief Ministers Meghalaya Open Golf Tournament to be held at  Golf Course. The public are therefore requested to take alternate routes available around the course.
Competition
Eight projects of child scientist were selected in the State level Congress of the 24th National Children’s Science Congress which was organized on November 2. The project leaders of these teams will represent the state in the National Level to be held at Vidyapratisthan’s Institute of Information Technology (VIIT), Baramati, Maharash-tra on December 27-31.
Medical prog
North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Homoeopathy, Shillong will conduct a 6-day CME programme for medical officers from November 7 -12,  from 9 am-10 am at Seminar Hall, Administrative Block.
Chhat Puja
The Bihari Welfare Association will organise Chhat Puja on November 6 from 3 pm to 11 pm and on November 7 from 3 am to 8 am at Dhobi Ghat, Rilbong, Immersion Ghat, Polo, Nongmynsong, Nursing Akhara, Lumdiengjri, Happy Valley, CPWD Compound and Cleve Colony.
Workshop
The Department of Fishery Science, St. Anthony’s College in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries and the National Fisheries Development Board, Hyderabad will organise a national workshop on ‘Ornamental fishes for livelihood and entrepreneurship development in North East India’ on November 8-9.
PHH cards
The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), West Garo Hills, Tura reminds all Government Servants and Pensioners who have not surrendered their PHH cards under NFSA, 2013 to surrender their PHH cards at the earliest, failing which, punitive action will be taken as per provision of the relevant order.
Rajya Puraskar
The Bharat Scouts and Guides Rajya Puraskar Rally will be held on November 7 on the occasion of Bharat Scouts and Guides Flag Day at Raj Bhavan, Shillong.  Governor of Meghalaya, V Shanmuganathan will be presenting awards at the programme.
