Ri Bhoi village gets community hall

NONGPOH: Dulongnar village in Ri Bhoi district got its community hall and AEC building that was inaugurated by local MLA Celestine Lyngdoh on Tuesday.
The building were constructed under the national rural jobs scheme at a cost of Rs 10 lakh and the community hall was built at a cost of Rs 12.77 lakh under the Special Rural Works Programme and the Backward Regions Grant Fund.
The village elders submitted a memorandum to Lyngdoh on development in Dulongnar.
The MLA said the village school will soon get a kitchen building and utensils for the midday meal scheme. He also announced that toilets and bathrooms for tourists would be constructed along NH-6 under Wayside Amenities scheme.
Among other dignitaries present at the event were local MDC Donkupar Sumer and headman A. Iangngap.
