SHILLONG: The Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions condoled the demise of Rev. Sr. Mary Bernadette Gothop on Friday at St. Agnes’ Convent, Haflong, Assam.
Sr. Mary Bernadette Gothop who was born in 1930 joined the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions in 1956. She had served the society in various capacities as an educationist and social worker in the states of Meghalaya, Assam, West Bengal and Karnataka. A statement issued by Sr. Mildred Khongngain, Provincial Superior said that she brought smile in the lives of people she interacted with. For the last many years, she had been serving in Haflong. In the last couple of years, she had not been keeping well, due to old age. The Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions thanked those who had assisted Sister throughout her service for the people.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on November 19 at St. Agnes’ Convent, Haflong.
