MAWKYRWAT: The police are on the hunt for an accused, who absconded after stabbing one person with a scissor causing injuries.
Police sources informed that the incident took place on Saturday evening at Mawkyrwat market after the two were involved in a brawl.
The accused identified as Hep Thongni of Mawrap village stabbed one Michaelding Wanniang (40) of Nonglang village with a scissor.
After the incident, some people took the victim to Mawkyrwat CHC for treatment, but he was referred to Shillong for better treatment, the sources said.
“A case under Section 325 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered and the police are still on the hunt to arrest the accused”, the sources added.
