Rape
An eight-year-old girl has been allegedly sexually assaulted at Madanrting. Police stated that the incident happened on November 12 between 10.30am to 11am, when one Ranjit Chakma, sexually assaulted the girl in his residence at Madanrting. The victim was shifted to Ganesh Das Hospital for medical examination on Tuesday. The police is investigating into the matter.
Extortion
Police have registered a suo-moto case in Baghmara police station against two police personnel, posted at Rewak Rongchekgre ADC in South Garo Hills for their involvement in the extortion of two Bolero Camper vehicles (AS-18C-5211) driven by Md. Sahibul Islam and (AS-18C-7584) Md. Isap Ali, loaded with cattle at Rewak, NH-62 under Siju Check Post, South Garo Hills on November 19 at about 8.30am.
Assault
On November 21, at about 7.30 pm, two unidentified occupants of one Maruti Swift D’Zire (ML-05M-7036) assaulted Philemon Lyngdoh Mawnai , 29, driver of STPS bus at Nongmynsong Bazar. In another incident, Michelding Wanniang lodged a complaint stating that on November 19 around 6.30pm, one Bahhep Thongni stabbed him with a sharp object at Mawkyrwat market.
Theft
On November 21, unknown miscreant(s) stole one cell-phone belonging to Dhiraj Rathore of HQ, EAC(U), Upper Shillong from Military Hospital. In another incident, Bidyut Talukdar lodged a complaint that on November 19, around 10.45pm, unidentified miscreants assaulted and robbed him of his ATM card, driving license, etc., at Jail Road.
