SHILLONG: The Meghalaya and Greater Shillong Progressive Hawkers and Street Vendors Association on Thursday filed an appeal against the single bench order of the High Court of Meghalaya for eviction of hawkers from the city.
The division bench of Chief Justice Dinesh Maheshwari and Justice Ved Prakash Vaish in the hearing on Thursday said the counsel for the appellant should supply copies of the memo of the appeal to the counsel appearing for the parties.
The matter has been ordered to be listed on Friday at the motion stage. The division bench expects that the counsel appearing for the parties will complete all their instructions.
