SHILLONG: North Garo Hills Surrender Peace Forum has petitioned the Deputy Commissioner on the need to improve various roads in the district. In a letter addressed to the Deputy Commissioner, the Forum said that the Songsak-Mendipathar road is yet to see the light of the day despite the government in 2014 promising to implement German technology for the construction of the road. Moreover, Mendipathar to Resubelpara stretch is full of pot holes and hence risky to travel during rainy season, the Forum said.  The Forum also pointed out that the collapsed Soksan brigde is yet to be re- constructed.
