34 in fray for by-polls

SHILLONG: Altogether 34 candidates remain in fray for the by-election to six vacant seats in the KHADC and one in the JHADC is 34. The deadline for withdrawal of nominations ends on Wednesday.
While there are six candidates in fray for the Laban-Mawprem and Nongspung-Sohiong seats, five candidates each are vying for the Pariong-Mawthadraishan and Nongkrem seats. There are four candidates each contesting from Rambrai, Mairang and the lone JHADC seat of War East.
