JOWAI: UDP MDC Violet Lyngdoh, the lone woman in the JHADC who represents Rymbai constituency has tendered her resignation to the party citing personal reasons.
The resignation letter was sent to the district UDP president Moonlight Pariat.
Lyngdoh is also the sister of BJP’s state president Shibun Lyngdoh. Indications are that the MDC may join the BJP. Earlier, another UDP MDC Marki Mulieh, the nephew of former legislator Sing Mulieh, had resigned from the party and joined the BJP.
