SHILLONG: The State BJP will celebrate Good Governance Day on December 23 instead of December 25 in Meghalaya.
Informing this here on Saturday, BJP national spokesperson Gopal Krishna Agarwal said the party high command has approved the request of the state unit of the BJP to change the date to December 23. “We respect all religious feelings,” Agarwal said. Replying to a query on the opposition by Church leaders to the National Education Policy reportedly including Sanskrit in school curriculum, he said Sanskrit would be an optional subject and not binding on the pupils. He also said the policy has been put into public domain for suggestions.
